Very cool, but not really my style, lol. Guys on facebook are telling me to add some on the fenders and firewall point at the engine, but I'm not showing it off. This is for when my car breaks down on the side of the road, lol. They even told me to add them in the grilles. Yuck.

Worked on my brothers g6 today..

Put brake pads+rotors, sway bar linkage, strut+shock assembly, wheel bearings, tie rod ends. 4 and half hours for all those on pass+driver side, car has 101k and no work besides tires, oil changes, he has had it since 30k miles, so atleast 70k miles on all those parts, i assume they are all stock.

JK about the glow worm paint, but when I see the LED pics I do think aliens may have landed. Kinda expect it to hover. 60W laser pointer abduction spotlight maybe?

Heres that same shot of my nasty hood, after. Blur city with flash so next pic is without.

    I can tolerate this-

Looks like this in direct sunlight, I'm happy. It will wash up a lot easier now and maybe overspray won't stick so bad. The hood paint isn't worth spending much time on. Can't wait to whiz down the sides but thats another weekend, and somebody would run over it if I did anyway, lol.

Did nothing to the GP.. Well bought some **** for it.

It's getting retinted on the 10th so I need to pull all this 7 year old tint off sometime soon.

My pops asked me a few days ago if I can tackle his headlights for him when I got the time.. Had some free time today so decides to stop by and give them a bit of love.

    What a difference

Dayum thats a gigantic diff on the headlights, red!

Lord is a little strong Scotty lol. Only a little though. Ha. Man that buffer whoops a ol dude quick. But yea beware of the guy with only one gun, he probably knows how to use it. As said once in a western. I used 4 products including clay but it was work. Callin it a day. I did get those 2 new coils on yesterday.

So the GTP presented a driveability issue finally... chugs when its in third goin up a hill. Y'know on cruise at 35-44, then part way up a hill she surges, bucks, chugalugs too much before droppin a gear. Haven't noticed it in OD. What have I got?

All touched up and washed- looks like every other time I post same pic, but maybe glossier.

All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

Sounds like the TCC lockup issue. Next time it's chugging set your foot on the brake (not enough to slow it down, just make the lights turn on) and see if the RPMs jump up (it stops surging).

^^^ that's what I was thinking. I just tuned all lockup out of third, and really relaxed 4th gear lockup. Haven't tested it though, too many Sam's Adams Porch Rockers today. I've been tuning this tcc lockup for awhile. Seems to want to lock at the most bizzaro times.

If it happens, it's really just easier to replaced the VB\CP. I tried the solenoids, I tried the valves, no change. It's a fairly big job so it's easier just to save up and buy a new VB\CP from Dave.

Nothing to the GP. Didn't even start it today. I had low levels of motivation so I got a late start on my Stealth. All I managed to get done was get the sway bar links cut off. One was still on the one LCA and the other was still on the sway bar. I then worked on getting ball joints out. They actually came out easier than I anticipated. I thought I was going to end up renting a ball joint tool. After that I tackled the front LCA bushings. With a little ingenuity and time and hammering I got them out. Worked on cleaning more of the grime off the LCAs and Kmember so they are ready for me to blast.

Once I blast those and a few more things, then paint all that crap I should be ready to start actually bolting things back on, instead of taking them off.

Need to get the tips cleaned now. To Red's dismay, I bought some Dip for the black pieces around the Windows that have peeled away.

Bill, I'm at 219K. Bought it at 196. Have replaced plugs, no wires or TB cleaning yet. Trans might have 25K on it by now.

I kinda thought it might be vacuum related. WOT is smooth.

It can be, often though... it's ignition related on our cars and while we do have a decent amount of TCC issues in the trans. I have fixed this type issue with a simple tune up.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
