I've been looking at methanol injection kits made by Snow Performance. they have three kits.

    one that costs 360 stage 1 http://www.snowperformance.net/stage...st-cooler.html

    one that costs 487 stage 2 http://www.snowperformance.net/stage...st-cooler.html

    and stage 3 is 803 http://www.snowperformance.net/stage...st-cooler.html

for the kit to be as easy to use as possible after being set up, which one is the best choice?

I went with basic cooling mist set up. No controller like the stage one kit. It works just fine for me, installed a low fluid light and activation light so I know when it kicks on. Might have got another 30 HP no where as good as NOS set up on my ws6 TA. I would get stage two kit if you were paranoid about blowing up your engine (I am not that concerned myself).

ALLLLLLLLLL of what scott said don't complicate the setup and your not going to gain a thing if your not knocking now it would be pointless.

I will have to get the snout machined and then I will try the 2.6, do you guys think that is too much drop, or should I just go for the 2.55?

this plus even with no KR, depending on where you're timing is at, add more timing LOL.

understandable, thats why it depends on where you're currently at. if only at 16* with the meth and tune, can add a few more degrees

    edit-for example i ran 22-24* with a 3.2"/3.3" and when turbo i ran 20psi with 20* of timing

    That is too much timing.

No it's not. I ran 24* with good results.
Of course, I bypassed that diluted junk and went with 100% methanol and a DO-10 nozzle.

That much timing is hard on head gaskets. You are picking up very little power with that much anyways.

i think there were debate on how high of timing was considered wasteful. back on CGP someone was able to run as much as 30+ degrees and the motor held up fine but the power was not making anything above 25-26*. i ran 25* on 3.6" to 3.4" on my current motor for a long while and headgaskets are stock and going strong (~200k mikes). reptile, im running 70/30 meth/water on m5 or m6 nozzle.

I'm going to do another pulley drop, trying to decide between 2.6 or 2.55. I can the 2.6 that reptile has for a good price, but I would probably have to get the 2.55 new.

i think the difference going from a 2.6 to 2.55 is negligible (parasitic loss). at that small a pulley add timing ;-p
