boom? you'll need a ic or e85 to pull that pulley off. 7000 rpm's? not much to offer up there.

that great v8 sound, go buy a v8. you'l never get that out of a 3800.

You should definitely plan on e85. There arent to many running past that 7k mark to be honest i dont know that there is much benefit to it.
Next question why are you boring? Are you going through the bottom end for some reason?
Personally i would just buy a l26 block it would be cheaper than rebuilding it and it would give you slightly higher compression
What compression pistons are you gonna use?

The motor had 250,000 on it and I bone head move tried driving thru some deep water when flint flooded to get to work and we'll drown the motor a couple months after that I thought that the car was pulling timing and discovered that I cracked both heads in the valve seat bridges so I decided to do a full rebuild and the cylinders were egg shaped the machine shop told me I needed to go a minimum on 20 over trust email I didn't want to

What rockers are you gonna use? Or how about this just post your build list. Then people can chime in. Also i hope you have a plan for a trans build.
I run a northstar but there are lots of options for tb
I have an extra genv but the rotor coating is trash, i just wanted the case for the hybrid build

There's not much more that is set in stone but 80#injectors and a e85 aem fuel pump I was going with stock rockers didn't think I really needed new ones

I definitely love the idle sound of the NIC also I figured the higher the rpms it would help overcome the valve lap of that can I do know that I cannot run more than 6300 rpm until I rebuild the trans

Stock rockers are best. You will probably need more octane than e85 has to offer for pulleys that small without an intercooler, unless the e85 in your area is over 85%.

You are going to have a hell of a time with this build. Get a junkyard motor, put a cam in it, slap on an intercooler, feed it with e85, and you'll have a mid 12 second car on street tires all day long.

    2001 GTP Drag Car - XPZ, Tischler heads, Upsidedown M90 IC'd, e85, Gen V, 2.3 w/ 5%OD
    2005 F350 6.0 - studded, deleted, tuned
    2001 GTP - cam, headers, nitrous, stock trans - 11.83 @ 116 <$2k in mods - sold

    don't over complicate this.

let me remind you 330/400 was done with stock block, stock rockers, stock heads, stock tb.

heads only need to be milled for the is3 cam and others of comparable size or bigger.

pick a cam feed it some corn, use as much stock parts are you can enjoy the car.

It kills me to see people having cars torn apart every other week.

Ohh and look at it this way the more stuff you can get away with using stock parts on the engine saves money for the transmission..........

Its not a question of if your going to need a transmission build but when/how soon!

Honestly i wouldnt want it any "lopier" it has a nice idle without surging to much except at start up.
The bad news is you cant beat a nasty v8 for sound
