Ok so i know i posted something about this a long time ago but its getting worse and i cant figure out what it is! (my car is a 2005 GP base) It happens whenever i turn right, but the kick is, only when i do wider turns not sharp turns. it makes a screeching and grinding noise, just like when a break pad is getting low and the indicators are touching the rotor. i do need to replace my front right sway bar link but not sure if that has to do with my problem. Anyone have the same issue?? i replace my brake pads about 3 months ago tops. so it shouldnt be the pads. please! help me!! its really annoying!

did you replace the brake hardware? are you sure it's not the power steering pump?

i know its not the power steering pump because its coming from the front right tire area. and i bought the duralast gold ceramic brake pads which come with the hardware. so each side were replaced. the noise is coming from the front right only. unless they were put in wrong or loose?

I wouldn't know if you put the hardware on wrong since I have no pics to verify but you may have defective clips and/or pads but the best thing to do first is take off the wheel and look at the brakes. Caliper could be shot or just need to grease the slider pins but we are getting too far ahead. take the wheel off and look and go from there

Well wheel had a little play in it when you wiggle it from the sides. So wheel bearing is taking a crap. But to rule out the plate behind the rotor, we bent it away from rotor to see if it would make a difference. If it does its was that, if not its most likely my wheel bearing. Yay. :/

Ok. I looked at the rotor and it didn't look or feel like anything was scrapping against it

Well at least you are one step closer. Also check the bracket that protects the balljoint

Ok. I'm hoping I fixed it with bending the heat "shield" behind the rotor. Do they make replacements for those?

yes but it takes some work to replace. don't bother replacing it unless it's really screwed up
