I came on to this forum with a 2002 Grand Prix GT; I recently purchased a 2004 Grand Prix GT1 but I only got 1 key when I bought it but no key fob. I looked around on here and found that it's a tech 2 programed. Boo! I had not gotten around to going to get it done;then I found this:

Pretty cool since I have a 2005 Impala. It basically says to take the module out of the Grand Prix and put it into the Impala then program the fob to it and swap it back to the Grand Prix.
Worked out well for me since I had 2 fobs and keys with my Impala. Now I don't need to get it programed from a dealer nor do I need to get a fob (for the moment; I will be getting another couple)
I thought it was pretty cool and didn't know if anyone else could use this info or not.
