Thread: Is there an emergency gear selector unlock button

the new gf drives a 2003 GP V6 auto, she lives a 2 hrs drive from me, and i dont have access to her car to look at it

and her gear selector locked out on her today, ( my 94 camry has an emergeny button, I can push to unlock my gear selector, if it locks on me )

I was wondering if her car has an emergency unlock button somewhere on the centre console, she works in the medical field on call, and cant afford to have her down at all......

any help is greatly appreciated thanx muchly

See that hole next to the shifter? Stick a key in it, thats the emergency unlock

I let her know, .....problem solved for now, shifter has only done it twice in the time she has owned the car, so not really fixable at this point
