Also, I have been getting a decent puddle of water on the passenger floorboard the past few weeks. This is the poverty race car which has no interior. I'm wondering if the BCM got wet from when the water was coming in? I haven't cleared the codes to see if they'll come back.

Checked the fuses for the BCM. All ok. Cleared the codes and the 1602 came back.

    Now onto google.

try pulling the abs fuse from the pass door fuse box. its in the bottom column of fuses next to the flasher and cluster fuses.

that code keeps coming up either the ecbtm or a knock sensor but the ks ones seem to be 97's with the module on the pcm.

my abs is all messed up still. i have this fuse pulled. all that lights up is the yellow abs and the trac off light. and the abs is fully disabled.

Interesting. A few things I found (yes.. I autozone is retarded) but a few things are pointing to the PCM being junk.

    http://www.autozone.com/repairguides...6fbe6#hd1-1-12

I could just reload the bin file (full flash) to see what that does or I can grab one from pick n pull and try that.

yeah can't really do that. the bin is pretty customized with 3.29 gears.

It just started happening a few weeks ago. On the weekend I'll pull it in the garage and mess around with it.

just try the full write then. clear the codes before you write it or it can fail writing.

Not that it will help but I've always had random U codes and that fuel / theft one. From day 1. Gary used to get me hyped up about it but here I am 2016 , and still hasn't "broke" or "locked me out"

ignition switch? you're not getting power to the BCM, EBTCM and security modules at the same time the PCM is getting an ignition signal?

Not sure. I do know the last two times I drove it if I gave it ANY sort of gas other than almost 5% throttle the car would buck really bad and twice now died like it's starving for fuel. Makes sense about fuel theft deterrent I guess? Never ran into something like this.

I'll pull it in the garage tomorrow and go over the wires and such. If I can't find anything I'll delete the codes and see what happens. This is the beater/race car so I don't care. Just as long as the fuel doesn't get cut off because of the BCM.

I did have a decent amount of water in the floor board the last few times it rained. Going to fix that too tomorrow.

Well I'll add that my post above means nothing now considering you are having drivability issues. Whereas my codes don't effect my car in any way. Sorry man. Hope it works out.

I'm going to pull it in the garage in a few minutes and kick the heater on and play around with it. Need to charge the other laptop though.

I haven't driven it on the street to see if the fuel lockout comes back or not. Just in the driveway and parked it from the other night.

UGH I hate electrical problems. If I can't figure it out today I'll just put the codes to "no reporting" .

setting those codes to no reports may not make the problem go away. it could just be no longer telling you theres a problem.

The water is because the windshield cowling is leaking. Silicone the passenger side cowl to the windshield and it won't leak anymore.

Well I found the first code 1602 is something with the abs. Unplugged the driver side abs sensor and the code went away.

Did a full write, nothing. 1610 and 1626 came back. Might be something with the key and/or ignition module. (tried my spare key. same thing). The security light DID pop on for a second until I restarted the car and it went off.

I believe I fixed the water leaking. There was a small flap under the cowl and it was partially ripped. Duct tape fixed that issue .

Also noticed my map was stuck at 95. Odd. Vac line came off the LIM. Put that on now it reads fine. Cleared the codes. Drove it around. Still bucked and threw the 1610 and 1626 code.

Said screw it parked it on the side of the driveway. I'll mess it some other day.

Well apparently it was a massive misfire. Even after deleting the codes it still was bucking really bad. Something wasn't right. I had my scanner and was logging and noticed the misfires shot up to about 10 (total misfires). Ran to advance and picked up a set of wires (plugs were fine and brand new). Put the set of wires on it and the issue seemed to have gone away.

The leaking water went away too after I fixed the cowl flapper piece under it.
