Other than them looking really nice and stuff, would they help against the VC leak? My gaskets are shot and leaking quite a bit (smoke will come off the manifolds) and I've read that it's because of the plastic VC's. I've had one fire and I'm going to do my best to prevent another one.

Nope... But as long as you replace the gaskets and make sure the vc aren't cracked or warped you'll be fine and make sure you clean the surface good and use new grommets.

99,000KM on this 04 and these suckers are leaking. Unbelievable.. I'll check it out to see if they're warped. I asked on Facebook what the best gaskets are for this car and got a lot of different answers, what are you using?

Just use Felpros and hell you got 60k out of them. I hope you don't expect them to last forever.. It's a maintenance item like every other car.

    Edit: Felpros are blue

I have only put 500 km on this car myself. I'm rebuilding a total loss car that someone smashed up. I figured it was nice to get considering the miles it had. The guy obviously didn't know how to drive if he smashed the car up within 100km. But yeah.. I'm not sure if my white GTP had the VC gaskets done or not. I never had a problem with them. Only the LIM and elbows. But I'll be changing the dexcool out and putting aluminum elbows on this black comp g. I've learnt to do that ASAP. Lol

russ...take anything you can buy here. Double or triple the price.. add four times the shipping cost plus a hold up fee they whack you when they deliver it .. that's what these guys think is a good price!

Tell me about it. I order dealership parts out of the states for about 45% less of what the dealership charges here.

Why can I not find blue grommets and blue valve cover gaskets for my car? Does it being an 04 make a difference?
