I recently removed the fuel rail/injectors to have some room to replace the dog bone bracket and after putting it all back together, I'm getting a CEL, code P0171. I did notice that the o-rings on the injectors were all chewed up. Otherwise I don't see what I'm doing wrong. There is also a hissing sound coming from the rear injectors

go buy 6 new o rings for the lower part of the injectors, pull the rail again. with a razor cut the old ones off, then oil the new o ring and roll it on.

get some brake cleaner and 50 Q tips. spray some brake cleaner in the cap so you have a puddle of it, dip the q tips in the cleaner and then clean out the injector holes.

now re oil or use Vaseline to re lube the o rings and slide them back in the holes.

Just took your advice and put new oiled o-rings on and after clearing the code it no longer comes back. Not only that but my mpg shot up from ~16 to ~23!
