Where can I get the 40th anniversary roof rails to fit a 05 base? I really love what they look like! Help?! I know they are like 190-250 for the set but Is there any place cheaper?

There's no "place". They're not available new. You'd have to find someone selling them off of a '00 Daytona/'01 Special Edition/'02 40th Anniversary.

BTW, they are not a direct fit for the '04 & up GPs. Your roof lines are longer, so they will be short of running all the way to your back window.

Yup you'll have to modify them a bit and if you can get them for around $170 or so it's somewhat that of a steal. The getting harder to come by as time goes by.

I honestly cant remember off the top of my head of the people who were selling them, but there's like 3-7 For sale groups on facebook. Just go look for the following ones and join.... "GTP Nations GM/Wbody/3800 Parts For Sale" "W-Body Marketplace" and "Grand Prix Classifieds"

Alot of good stuff pops up on there from time to time.. So look around, or make a post on there stating that your looking for rails...

Nothing seems to go for nearly as much on FB classifieds as they do on regular forums or eBay. I've heard of resellers selling Air Jordans for cheaper on there as well. Still well above retail, but significantly cheaper than on eBay or enthusiast forums.

I sold my first set of roof rails for $250 shipped a couple years ago, and last year, I sold a set for $180 cash in person. If you can get a set for $140 or less, you're doing pretty good compared to market value.
