Hey guys, my name is Ashley, wanted to stop by and say hi since I've only been browsing so far. I have a 2007 GXP and really wanted to do a little something different with my exhaust. Everyone always looked and it was pretty quick and cool, but just didn't have that race car growl I wanted. So we made a x-pipe (off the y-pipe) into 2 1/2in duals, removing the cats. I haven't bent pipe in a while and this was a nice challenge fitting all this pipe into the space under the car, but it sounds ridiculously amazing and I can't believe the horsepower that it has gained. (sound clip to follow!!!). Here are some pictures of the exhaust process! I am definitely happy with the outcome. (big thank you to Paul at North Carolina SHO Repair for his help on this one!)

haha definitely going to get them asap. Sounds awesome. I was super surprised when I started it up, and we had a friend over too who was like wow! We all were. We really couldn't believe it made such a difference!

    Welcome!

So I'm guessing g still stock downpipe but why the single to dual x pipe and back? I could understand going from the manifolds and back.

^funny you say that. I actually drove about four and a half hours (to B.F.E north carolina) to the shop I used to work at so we could do my exhaust on the saturday before easter on the way to my mom's house. The mufflers that came were not the ones that were ordered (they came that thursday). And the place that we got them from didn't deliver again until Tuesday. They were obviously supposed to be single in and dual out, and we had a set of a little bit shorter tips to put on the inside... but that plan had to be scratched at the last minute.... (contemplated making "Y"s for the tips, but would rather just get the ones I wanted in the first place) So the next trip is is going to DEFINITELY include new muffler and tips. Gotta keep that GXP look!
