Hey guys, so I'm gathering all my information for the l67 swap into my 95 GTP and I was wondering if I could keep my HUD or would I have to swap it from the donor? Also, can I use my information center or do I need to swap that as well?

Can't answer that question, but I can point you towards w-body.com they have a large amount of info on the older GP's.

I "think" the HUD is body control feature, I can't say for sure that it'll still work but I'd like to think it would.

Theres no bcm on an 88-96 gp. And you can run ANY 88-03 w hud without a bcm. I have an 02 gp hud in my 97 monte

And a few other wires too, not a big deal. On a dic however, youll need a 96 gp only unit. 97+ is bcm controlled(why i dont brag about a dic swap lol) and 95 and earlier are obd1. Have fun finding a 96 dic, ive been looking over a yr lol

Obd1.5 is actually a misconception. On ur car you have an obd1 pcm and an obd2 style connecter. Only camaros and some trucks got obd1.5

That's the very definition of an OBD1.5. It's a bastardization between the older computer, and newer ALDL connector, thus why you have to find an OBD1.5 specific scanner in order to retrieve any codes.

That being said, what FFDP listed is all you need to make a HUD work. In fact, the HUD units themselves for the '97 - '03 are identical to the '94 - '96. Just a couple wires that need to be switched around on the harness, and you could make a newer one work right now.

'90 Pontiac Grand Prix STE McLaren Turbo (1/1000), '01 Pontiac GP GTP Special Edition (1/1341)
CURRENT: '00 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (ugh...boring regular one)

It might help to take a look at the adding a hud how to threads. As mentioned, all the wiring going to a hud before 04 was analog except for the radio. I believe that was data.

    There's a 97-03 hud in my 00 Regal.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

The speed signal looks to be very much a PWM signal.

Though it does just piggy back onto the speedometer signal from the PCM.
