Last week while passing someone my GTP died and I replaced the CKP and now it doesn't seem to have the stalling problem, but it feels like it's down on power and the exhaust is nowhere near as raspy as it was.

I'm not excluding the possibility that the cat got clogged up somehow, but it just seems unlikely.

    Any thoughts?

Clogged cats aren't ever considered unlikely, it happens from time to time. You'll know because it's all on the high end power that's restricted (at first). Just mentioning that your exhaust isn't as raspy (aka loud) makes a clogged cat more likely as you realize.

Does it respond quickly when revving in neutral? I'm assuming no cel light?

Haven't really tested much yet. No CEL yet.

Another thing many say happens: after a decent drive, at night, see if the cat is glowing. Also when cold, hit it with a hammer and see if anything rattles at all, and you could have it running and hit it with a hammer and see if it passes any debris through it and runs better for a while.

The cat is running open and only held on by a clamp, so it's not too much trouble to just pop it off and check rather than banging it with a hammer and maybe ****ing up something that ain't broke (yet, lol).
