This is actually less about the headers, and more about WBS than anything else, quite honestly...lol first sentence of your response could apply to anyone coming out with new sets of headers for sale.

It is? The point has already been made that SD headers can be modified for a lot cheaper than the $600 that WBS charges. I even posted pictures of how it was done and the measurements for the jig to modify them. Yes you can take them to a professional shop that will be able to fit and weld them to your specific car. Again not any new infomration.

Explain to me how a video of someone re-welding these headers is going to help anyone on here? I don't think anyone is going to become a professional welder from watching one video.

    So this thread is basically:

Yes, it is...in the other thread, his beef is that WBS is saying that this is a brand new, home grown solution with 6 months of research behind it...

Not only am I not taking a cent, but I will likely be out of pocket $100-150 before someone else puts these headers on their car.

You voiced your $.2 but you have a problem leaving it at that. Instead you continue to attempt to sway other guys from being on board with this, your putting way to effort in this and quite frankly it's a shame. If your not on board then so be it but why stay active in this post? Guessing you have some type of vendetta w/ Flake.. If someone else started this thread would you make this big of a deal about it?

I'm a new member and can't wait to see the video. Saw this today and was very entertained. This defiantly increases the OP's credentials with me.

If anything this how is about a school film project, just happened to be about modifying headers to work with a specific car and ppl can donate to have a chance to win the headers once its completed. So the fact about the WBS headers and this project being connected really doesn't matter. This school project has nothing to do with a vendor ripping ppl off.

How do you figure $100-$150?? You earlier posted you had "raised" $200. That almost fully covers the cost of the headers...
I don't remember band-clamps costing THAT much. Plus YOUR doing the work right?

Nick has stated that the headers will be going to the best fabricator in Connecticut. One can assume that the fabricator will do the work. I would also assume that this is where the extra cost will come from.

Also shipping from me to whoever is getting the headers when the project is complete.
To say that I'm making money on this is ridiculous.

He mentioned he would use the most expensive fabricator to give a worst case scenario cost estimate. He also posted pics of his checkouts for the parts ordered.

To be fair, he never said you were making money. He implied you were taking money.

Well if your sending them off to a fabricator to have the work done, are you going to provide the followers of this thread with the name of the fabricator? How about a shop slip when it's all done?

Some type of receipt or slip would be fine if you can. I would be hesitate to give out the fabricators information because he may not want folks bombarding him with inquiries, his hands may be full and he may just be making the time to do Snows. If anything the information should be used to reiterate to a fabricator in your area on what exactly needs to be done so that's there's no confusion. Obviously pricing will differ but after you factor in shipping back and forth you'll have to decide the best route.

It is at the sole discretion of the shop to allow me to use their name in my video.
If they don't want their names dropped then I will respect that.
The price I pay will be included, and he's the most expensive that I'm aware of.

While it's good to hear that you will be including the price in this thread.. When I asked you if you were going to give the name of the shop/person doing the work I only asked that it be mentioned here. I never said for you to include it in your video.

At this point anymore nagging should just be ignored. As this thread quickly turns into a club gp like ***** fest

Agreed. Let the guy do what he's doing. All you guys hassling him are doing nothing. I don't have any desire for headers. But I'm interested in seeing the outcome.
