I just got off the phone with the adjuster and he will be here around 8:30 tomorrow morning. I will let you know what happens.

this is one more case where if your state used front lic plates, it would have been left at the crash with the bumper. aka gotcha!

i know a lot of people who were drunk driving crashed, left the plate at the crash, they all got woke up in a bad way. cops at your door at 3 am sucks.

I really dont understand how that guy has NO fluid trails.... NONE....... I bet he lives nearby and its in his garage. I would look at every ****ing driveway for ANY kind of fluid trail within 10min from your house, there is no way he made it any further.

it was not me. a few friends i know back in the day drunk drove home from the bar, they both blacked out and hit parked cars, then left and went home, neither one had a clue they had a wreck, never mind how they got home.

one guy said the cops came to his door with his plate in their hands, and said, you missing something? he looked over at his car all crashed up in the drive way. he then realized he was in big trouble.

Lets be honest here the Malibu and Grand Prix aren't even in the same ballpark. Malibu is more in line with a Grand Am/G6.

Still a inexpensive early 2000 GM fwd car... So yea pretty similar. A G6 is also rather similar.

Not everyone enjoys driving some pos that smashed up and/or missing exterior panels or has mismatched panels. Some guys take pride and even though it may only be a Malibu.

It's an assumption here, but I'm sure the Malibu driver had to be pretty drunk to come up and smash the car like that. That being said, most people that have pride in their cars usually avoid driving them when they are drunk. Just my 2 cents

    Agreed!

Well in his or hers case I doubt they'll be bringing in for repair... If they do so it's a huge big red flag on what happened.

I find it hard to believe the Malibu driver wouldn't have had even the slightest head injurie with the impact it made ,he would have least hit his head on the the windscreen or have whiplash or a concussion
So also be on the the look out for anyone in the aera that might be hinding injuries or suddenly laying low

The officer said he checked the local hospital and urgent care centers. Also checked local body shops. No signs of them yet. He would have definately had a face full of airbag. I also could not believe there was no fluid trail but it was raining all night on and off so even if it leaked coolant it wasnt enough to leave any signs that I could see.

Im not going to give up too quickly but it seems like this guy might have slipped though the cracks. Hope he will slip up and let the car out where someone will recognise it.

The adjuster gave me $3500 for the car minus $500 ded. I also have time to pull off most of the mods and return the car to stock. Not great but it could have been worse.

Stuff like this is why I'm afraid to dump too much money into my car. If something happens and it gets totalled, the book is getting lower and lower all the time.

I'm still planning on going forward this spring with an IC and some bolt ons, but stuff like this still makes me wonder how smart I am to do so...
    88 IROC 350 - 23k miles, bone stock 97 Z28 30th Anniversary - 75k miles, SLP Bolt ons
    00 SS - 11k miles, OEM SLP goodies 04 Comp G - 64k miles, stock for now...
    07 Sierra Duramax 750 lb/ft of badass 13 Charger R/T - 2k miles, bone stock, Wife's car
