So I bought my new to me '06 GP GT last Thursday.

Today's Tuesday, and it already has 1.9 rockers, a 3" downpipe, AL605s and new wires, a K&N panel filter, and an MPS with a 3.5" pulley. All installed in the past few days. I also slapped basically new brakes on our four corners.

First mod was the K&N, installed on Thursday. The downpipe went on Friday. The rest of the stuff went in today.

It's nice having a donor car (my broke ass Regal GS) to steal parts from. Still have to take the PLOG off the Regal and slap it on the 'Prix.

Anyone else modify a new car so quickly?

I intended to do a downpipe, spark plugs, intake, tune, and 3.5 pulley within two weeks.

Dexcool, control arm bushings, brakes, the air conditioner, and a hundred other things gone wrong meant that five months later, I still haven't completed that list.

Hoping to flip the sway bar today and verify it's the source of the false KR. Then a pulley drop is finally in order. Unless it's real KR, in which case time to check the fueling system to see if it's causing the car to lean out (I don't think that's the case - I only get a blip of KR when downshifting). Somewhere along the way I need to do a LIM job.

With that pulley on there, I figure I'd significantly shorten the life of my trans, which already has 212k on it. Shifts solid as a rock... today. Dunno about tomorrow.

How broken is the Regal? Wanna toss a guy the drivers door switch pod... damn window lock button keeps falling off mine.

Drove the Regal into the garage and jacked it up:
Dropped subframe, oil pan, struts, springs, strut mounts, brakes (all 4), brake hoses (all 4), hubs, sway bar, sway bushings and endlinks, downpipe and catback, trailing arms, toe links, lateral arms, pulled entire interior (incl carpet), door panels, speakers, stereo, cut a hole in the dash, removed all 4 windows (door glass), adjusted sunroof, pulled headliner, all light bulbs.

Put in aluminum sub, GR2's with vogtlands, f bodies, 04+ rear knuckles and calipers, fresh control arms, gmpp sways with poly bushings/endlinks, braided brake hoses, fresh brake fluid, aluminum oil pan and all new engine mounts top and bottom, all new lateral/toe and drag arms with poly, touchscreen dvd, backup camera, amp, speakers, sweet wiring, sound deadened the entire car, including inside the doors, new leather on driver seat, heated seat pads from GP into the seats with Regal switch, HUD, Aeroforce, cleaned carpet, better headliner, subwoofer, trunk liner, turn signal mirrors, puddle lights, door lights, upgraded alt, zzp alt to relay center cable, fixed cluster and hvac resistors, Homelink rearview mirror, sequential tails, GTP exhaust with 3" dp and the list goes on.

That was done in less than a week after I bought it while getting ready for a meet at the house.

Lucerne 18" rims and rubber, Effin Pat and Max
    Undercoated entire car one evening
Rockers, springs, LIM's, Plog, Gen V happened one night.
Additional/better power outlets happened another afternoon
Caddy gated shifter fell in recently
    Projector headlights

High flow fuel filter .... is still on the shelf 3 years 67K miles later

Keep in mind.... I was planning for a Regal

I definitely would of course, but mine is doing the same damn thing! LOL

Regal is down for the count this time - road salt has finally killed it. Major under carriage rust problems. It's also got a weird electrical issue going on (has a major ground problem) that's not worth diagnosing at this point. I'll miss it when it's gone, it's served me well for quite a few years.

I've thought about that - my plans usually change though!
