I hit it with PB BLASTER twice until I gave up.

I got the locking side off easily, but I can't get the outlet to budge. Obviously I don't dare hammer around too much...

    Any suggestions?

I'm sure you've done this, but hold the nut so it doesnt move and turn the fuel filter itself, normally that will get it off.

If you have a air hammer handy, a few quick blaps on the nuts can really help break up the rust holding them together.

the nut on the end of the line does not turn. turn only the filter. how long was the blaster on? you need a 5/8" flare nut wrench to hold the line and a crescent on the filter.

Had one I had to let drain and get a fuel line repair kit to fix, I had to cut the line upstream of the filter.

Threw more PB Blaster on it and beat it's a## with 2 wrenches.

Put a small amount of antiseize on the threads and put it back together.
