Just curious to see if its worth spending the money to get ZZP's U-bend delete. My plans for the car is eventually a 3.4 pulley so i'm not sure if its worth the money to get the U-bend delete or if I should just forget about it and save up for some headers? I'm not sure how well the stock exhaust flows except that the U-bend is awful, so i'm just assuming if i'd want a 3.4 pulley headers would be ideal?

I would go with headers. The front manifold is pretty restrictive too. Headers leave you plenty of room for future mods. Some are happy with just a plog and U-bend delete. I think most here would rec headers.

headers, if you get sd headers it can be a pain to bolt up with good fitment and seal

I've been thinking of ZZP's plog and a downpipe.. Any feedback on those? The only upside to headers is they're so cheap if you get SD's. I've heard mixed things about them though.

Headers, but the rest of the exhaust (save for the ubend) isn't restrictive till way higher mod levels than a 3.4. To directly answer your question though, getting rid of the u-bend in whatever way you choose to is like probably the single best mod you can do to a stock car (without dropping tons of money all at once).

Get headers. Its really not worth cheaping out on plogs. SDs are fine once you get rid of the crappy flex and the weird u-pipe thing. The primaries arent as big as TOG Extremes, ZZP, or pacesetters but they're fine for most builds.

I see a lot of people have SD's but I was just curious to see what everyone thought of them. I've seen some people that hate them and some that love them. I guess the U-bend delete is pointless at this point then lol.

I have had SD's on the last 3 l67s Ive had. IMO they are easy to put on. Are "decent" quality. They are nothing special but serve the purpose of headers. Never had a problem with leaking. Fitment is good but not perfect. There downpipe design is probably the only downside of them. It is shaped weird and can hang low depending on which set you get.

Would the downpipe be much of an issue on a stock height car? Or do you recommend replacing the downpipe?

You should take one, I'm going to install SD's soon. I wanna see if I should refab the DP or not.
