Ok so I need to replace my fuel injectors. I will be intercooling and going around a 3.0 pulley in the future. But for right now should I go with stock or just upgrade in advance. Will the car run the same with bigger injectors without pushing the power right off the bat? Do I need to do anything or just install them and be good to go? Thanks

You can go bigger injectors anytime you want but you will have to tune for them. You can't throw them in with no tune.

Thanks that's exactly what I was looking for, think I'm gonna go with the used ones that are rebuilt from zzp. It's only like 150 and they guarantee them

I would go straight to the 60s... spending money on stock injectors would be a huge waste of time and money.

Yeah but I need something to put in the car to drive up until I do more performance mods. And I don't have a tuned PCM yet. Would #60s be over kill? I'm shooting for the 300whp goal without doing internals

No need to do internal work, though a cam would greatly help.

I don't see any reason to buy stock injectors. I would go with either 42.5 or the 60s. If not, there are people selling their stock injectors for much less than ZZP.

No sense in dropping $150 on stock injectors, when for $200-250 you can get the ones you want.

Ok that makes sense Maby ill just get the 42.5s and call it a day, then I have to get a reprogrammed PCM to go with those correct?

I agree with the others to go with the bigger ones. Stock won't deliver enough fuel for your 3.0 and you might run lean. 42.5's will be enough but 60's will give you more room in the future. You will need a tune fore sure. When I installed 60's and a walbro fuel pump for my e85 conversion I just had intense send me a ball park tune so I could drive down for the dyno tune.

Ok. Maby u can answer another question for me. For me to get a dyno tune Do I just go in and get it done. Or do I have to have a programmer or PCM for them to flash or anything like that.?

You'll need to find a shop with the software to tune a stock PCM. Just call around and tell them you have a stock PCM that needs to be unlocked and dyno tuned.

If they cannot do it, the should know who in the area can.

I know of two places within 150-200 miles from me. ZZP in western Michigan and Intense (dyno motor sports) in central Ohio. You may be able to get a real close tune mail order from intense though. They have a ton of experience and so many files on record. I'd give them a call or email.
