    I just fixed my 04 HUD, but while removing the upper trim panel pieces were braking apart like tooth picks. The plastic film on the hud was broke. I tried clear packaging tape. It will do, but I do not like it. I was wondering if anyone has tried to cut out the plastic screen and replace it with screen protector for say a 7" tablet and cut to size ? Is the plastic screen special in any kind of way?
