So my wheel wells didnt look too good and one of them had a rust hole all the way through, so I used bondo to fill it, sanded it, and painted it. The paint matches the car perfectly but the problem is the texture/overspray that stands out. Is there anything I can do the fix this? or do I need to repaint the area and do it differently? realistically id like to replace the areas but thats not really an option seeing how expensive it would probably be or that ill probably only keep the car another year or so i just hate driving something that doesnt look right

take and sand it all down smooth and even wet sand so you can rub your hand over it and feel zero bumps. the prime it and then spray the red paing on it

I wouldn't do it between coats. Start out with a course sand paper...like 400 and sand it back down to the metal/bondo. Then use a finer grit...like 1000+ and make the surface all smooth...
Then id do a coat or two of primer...two coats paint....two coats clear

even after that though im still going to have a line/texture so what do i do to take care of that? and should i even tape off the area since that would leave a more noticeable line?

No I wouldn't tape it off. And I doubt you'll have a line if u sand it smooth like I'm saying...to where u can't feels any more bumps or lines with ur hand. And even better if u wanted to do the two coats primer...wet sand with 1000+ then coat of paint wet sand again and then one more coat of paint and wet sand and clear wet sand clear

lol no the reason theres still some bumps in the paint is because i dont really care that much about that i just wanted the paint to match, im not experienced with painting

If the paint around the newly painted area isnt very oxidized then polishing the whole car when it's all said and done should do the trick.

yeah the rest of the paint is in decent condition and still shines pretty nicely, but dont i need to wait like a month before putting any polish over the new clear coat?

did you hit the area with clear coat? if not do that, ( 3 coats or so) then wet sand it, with like 3,000 grit. then buff it with compound.

the color looks ok, its the finish that looks lacking, aka the shine.

You are going to have to sand it down to bare metal again and fix the spots where its making the lines.

Use more body filler to make everything smooth, there can be no seams, no bumps, no nothing. Everything has to flow as one through that panel. Then you can throw down some primer, paint and try to blend it togther.

I have to agree with the guy above, it looks like a butter knife was used to put the body filler on.
