I don't care about 4 doors, I don't have kids so no one needs to go in the back seat.

    I had a 99 2-door and I currently have an 04.

If the 04 was a 2-door it'd win hands down, but I still like the looks a little better then my old 99.

I have own 02 SE, 02 GT, 99 GT coupe, 06 GT, 07 GXP, and now 97 GT coupe. In that order. As of today still have the 02 SE, 06 GT, 07 GXP, and 97 coupe, although the 02 SE is a short timer. The 99 was black, loved the way that car looked. The 97 project not sure about red and other than the ride on and off the trailer have not drove it. Both the 02's gave me from 20,000 to 240,000. The 06 started at 58,000 and just hit 160,000. The 99 was 77,000 and my daughter drove it all through highschool, college, and I gave it to her as wedding present. Her husband was station at Lamar at the time and they traded it off, otherwise I would have got it back. Not sure how many miles it had. The GXP started at 45,000 and is about 48,000 (still new to me)

All said and done, the black 99 for body and the 07 GXP for interior, the 07 GXP for power.
07 Grand Prix GXP (My Daily Driver and future toy) (120,000+)
97 Grand Prix GT (Project Car) (178,000+)

Yes. I mean a complete interior swap. Definitely some wiring would need to be in order, and it obviously wouldn't work for coupes, but why not for sedans?

If the seats bolt in with little modification, how much of the rest would just drop in? I know the F bodies guys can swap in a 4th gen interior into a 3rd gen without to much hassle.

The fit and finish on '04+ is way way better. The 97-03 interiors are junk.

gm must have downsized on quality control in 04-up gp.

04's interior plastic scratches easy and the hud shroud cracked almost to bits from the sun, that's on my bro's 04 only 97k

the 3 gp's ive ownded 2 97's and a 99 never had that problem, yeah the interior's cheap but and some pieces cracked or whatever but all 3 cars were 5, and 7 years older

almost forgot to mention, headroom in an 04 isn't the best and im 6'3, my hair grazes the headliner. My previous gen gp's had a few more inches of room

I think you've got that backwards 99prixgt. The 04 and up have way better interiors with way less rattles than the 97 to 03s

if you guys stopped taking them apart then they wouldn't be bad.

and honestly, my subaru has more rattles than my wbody ever did and it's an 06 with just under 80k miles and 100% stock.

Im coming from an 01 GT to my now 04 GTP and its definitely a step up in almost every way. I like the sleekness of my old car and at first I couldn't stand how uglier my car now is lol. But the more I did to it the more I liked it and before I knew it I forgot bout my old GT. I like the fact my car has 17in rims, hood scoops, a different spoiler and cleaner looking exhaust tips. The interior is way better then my old car although I hate the fact I have the 3 button DIC instead of 5. Either way I love this car.

    I'm running a 15 in the trunk ('04) on ~1000w and I've got very little interior rattle/flex.

My brother ('99) had a 12 on about 500 and it sounds like you're inside a tin can that's being shaken around with a pinball inside it. Not to mention how his headliner, cupholders, and everything else just shakes and makes noise.

    Just my $.02.
