The back end of the 04+ look amazing. Alot better than 97-03 IMO. But for the body and front I would say both hve there ups and downs to them. I still would go with the 04 looking overall the best

I love my 98, but I heard so much about how the 04+ seats are better, so I got some seats from a 05 and now, I enjoy the ride even more. It all comes down to personal taste. I like the 97-03 body, but after having the newer seats......I will NEVER sit in the old seats again.

See i hate the rear end of the 04 and think the 97-03 looks so much sportier, and i dunno ive never sat in the newer seats or thought about swapping them

Im surprised no one has mentioned anything about the GXP. The front end of a gxp is probably my favorite.
Yea I was minding my own business. I love everything about the gxp except for the cost of modding. I do want to get a different hood but that's still always away

The interior of a 97-03 looks like it came out of a 85 Cavalier. That was enough to sway me to an 04+.

97-03, but with 04+ seats, that's the only thing I like on 04's better. Plus you can't get 04+'s in a coupe.

    04+ > 98-03

More modern interior. Better interior. Coupes are ok until you need your leg room or your backseat for something and having rear doors that open 90 degrees makes it easy to haul things around and get the kiddos in and out.

Not to mention the back seats and passenger seat drop down for whatever cargo you may have.

This. I have a GXP and love the way it looks. When I was looking, I was just looking for a W body as a DD to replace my 94 Olds Cutlass DD. I did not care for many of the 04+ looks just because the trim line, etc. When we found a clean GXP, my wife was pretty set we had to get a GXP. It just worked out that the GXP we found was one I was able to negotiate a good deal on.

    GXP exterior > 97-03 exterior.

    But 97-03 > 04+ GT/P looks wise.

I really like the interior of my dads 06. Feels way newer, and less like a drunk monkey put it together.

04+ for sure the older 97-03 look old and gay. But either way both styles look gay stock for stock.

    04+ = modern car
    97-03= old and busted

97-03 body looks better IMO, but an 04+ done right, looks amazing. It also sucks that 04+ never came in a coupe, but I feel like those years were targeted more for a family car. My dad has an 05 GP and the seats are super comfortable, and not to mention the dash doesn't rattle/make any noises. If there's one thing I hate about my car (2000), it's the quality of the interior. You take it apart one time, and it'll never be the same LOL

Seats are better in 04+, but other than that, I think the interior is cheap plastic junk. The HUD is better too.

Other than that, 97-03 all the way.

One thing I will say, I'm about 6'6", and it's incredibly hard for me to get in and out of my 04 without hitting my head. The coupes that I've had are so much easier.

IMO the 97-03 models interior feels way cheaper than 04+.
edit: It's all cheap plastic junk in reality tho..

And yes on the headroom upon entry... I am 6'3", but have a torso the size of someone who is about 6'6" or 6'7". I cant get in an 04+ without hitting my head. In my coupe tho I have plenty of room.
