    What motor?

Sounds like the intake gaskets are shot and need of replacement ASAP before any further damage to the motor can happen.

It sounds like a blown gasket to me. My brother was having same problems losing coolant and took it in to find out blown gasket.

Take your car to a mechanic and tell him what happens, your engine needs surgery.

When you say GP base model 3.8L without mentioning the year, this comes to mind more than an intake gasket.

However while doing the work, I'd suggest plugging the coolant ports and doing the intake gaskets

Not sure if this is your issue from the little info you were able to provide. Hopefully the info helps. One way to see if the UIM has fiailed is to pull the throttle body (reusable gasket) and look around the EGR stovepipe. If it's wet, you want to address that asap.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
