just don't get any of those 1 piece ones, they do not like to wipe at highway speeds with our cars, they tend to hover over the windshield right in front of your face.

I have the rain-x latidude blades. They work great but if its windy, sometimes it wont completely wipe the lower driver side of the windshield at highway speeds.

the issue is there is just too much surface area that the wind catches and gets under.

So are you saying frameless wipers aren't as good as the old school metal framed wipers?

Only at highway speeds, here off of lake erie we tend to get some good wind going, so then you have one of those framless ones at 70 mph and a 20 mph wind in your face you really don't get a wipe. 1 trip with that and i went back to my old-school ones and never looked back.

Thats makes sense but I don't really have to worry about those kind of winds and I would think the OP doesn't either

I've never had an issue with frameless wipers and that includes several severe storms at 80mph.. Matter of fact I won't buy any with a frame because they're gaudy looking. I guess to each his own

They are pricey, but rain-x latitude wipers are worth it. They are the flexible type, and they never freeze on me.

I hate the old school metal ones because 1. They are gaudy and ugly and 2. They suck bad. I don't really have a problem with high sored winds. So I should be good.

I live there. And it normally does it on the south side when its about to rain. It sucks. It smells like sour kraut. Haha.

I have the bosch icons and i must be the only one that dosn't like them. They are only 7 months old and already leave water lines on the window and started to streak. Yes i clean the blade edges often and they still have water lines but less streaking for a while Do the rain x blades lattitude blades run larger than they claim i ask this as that is what came with this car and they looked alot longer than the 22'' icons i replaced them with?
