Is there a good exhaust configuration for the GP that increases volume but doesn't come with a lot of rasp? Something perhaps that keeps a sort of throaty tone?

    Lolz... This thread!

Bunches of different combination attempted over the years, YouTube is your friend as you can somewhat HEAR what you will get, but ultimately you will have to balance a bit of rasp if you want it loud. Sorry.

Why has GM plagued us with that damn crossover pipe? The cars which have 3800s in the right way sound mean as all hell, but GPs sound like ass through a tin can.

If I were to do something like this, but with the resonator in, would it produce decent results?

Listen for yourself... Good collection of clips!
I like the Hooker Mufflers and will probably put them on soon. Keep in mind that a cam'd engine is a game changer.

you cant make it loud without exposing all of the underlying terrible noises the motor creates. that's how it works.

    leave the **** quiet.

Hooker Maximum Flow Mufflers??? Lots of information... - OldsPower.com

I heard the sound clips too and the data is there. Just keep in mind, Silver2kgtp's car has a Turbo Cam along with 3" exhaust end to end all which will have an effect on the sound.

You know, ever since you got rid of your GP, you've turned into a grumpy old man.

Also, I've decided upon the Hooker Maxflows. Not too loud, and they reduce rasp.
