When did the 2004 GP actually start production?

I read an article that said May 5, 2003, which is obviously wrong. Because my production date is 02/03 on my door sticker.

Well it actually was supposed to come out as a 2003 model but it got pushed back for some reason I just forgot.

When car companies produce new styles of models they have a tendency to produce them and put them on lots earlier then normal

That may have been when they started going on sale? I know my production date says 4/2003.
