I just bought a 2002 GTP 40 anniversary edition coupe. I want to start adding bolt on performance items.Any suggestions on purchasing a down pipe from Wbody ? ie Hi flow Cat or Catless ? Stock exhaust sounds good but could use some help, this will improve exhaust sound right ? I wanted to do the resonator delete but youtube videos shows it makes exhaust too raspy and popping. Thanks for your time. John.

You looking for just sound or gain some performance?

Best thing for the GTP, is headers. By some Speed Daddys off ebay. $220 shipped.

Headers will make your car louder also.

If you want just a better tone with no performance gains, get Borla Pro XS mufflers with a nice Long glasspack.

Or do both, headers and Borla mufflers.

If you want extra sound from your stock muffler either get the SD headers or a catless DP from zzp...leave the resonator alone or else you will have lots of rasp

If you plan on dropping pulley size then I would start with headers
