I have a 05 that just doesn't seem to be putting out enough heat. My temp gauge says the cooling system is at normal operating temp but the heater output seems low. Is there a ballpark temp the heater should put out?

I would try flushing the heater core.

    Agreed.

Heatercore flush with new thermostat and coolant should do the trick and make it super hot again.
