Rob, Most likely he's used to tuning cars w/o a maf screen in front of the maf. This little guy that is in our throttle bodies is a nice tuning tool. The intake in front of it really doesn't matter because it creates laminar flow across the maf. Without this screen, airflow could be tough for the maf to read and this would lead to the tuning challenge that he's speaking about.

If you want the car to be more comfortable, change out the seats.

Ok thank you Bill i appriciate the good info.

As far as NOt listening as someone suggested, UHM NO, lol. I know this guy very well in the last 2 years that ive owned my cobalt he has been very helpful and knowledgeable. He has tuned 1000's of cars consisting of cobalts, ls powered cars as well as 3800's. I just wanted to see if anyone had any tuning issues after doing the build. So going off of that the fact the MAF has the screen in front of it, i will be ok with the home made intake. Thanks a bunch guys!!

Rob, I like to think about why someone suggests things etc. Reason them out... you could say.

Camo, Assuming you are talking 97-03, what's good about the seats? Nothing, they are very uncomfortable.

What would you guys recommend for tuning? I don't think a canned tune from ZZP would be good cause I'm getting a whole bunch of things done and including nitrous.

You could buy your own tuner but that has a learning curve to it. I'm sure there is someone closeish to you that could do the tuning.

HP Tuners can do a crap ton of GM vehicles, so if you bought that software you could do anything from a grand prix, camaro, silverado, tahoe etc etc etc.

Just make sure if you buy used that it has some credits left or you'll have to buy some.
