Actually not too bad , $35 new Duralast, $29 new Valucraft AZ, Napa new Tru-Flow $41 - 10% off with my AAA card so $37.
Rockauto has Gates for $24, but I can't wait, its my DD.

yet to see that myself, i hear they are junk a lot, but the parts im using from them are still holding up fine.

i wont buy their sensors, thats for sure. but that goes for all parts store brand sensors.

Napa new is the best deal I see. Not worried so much over a few bucks, just only want to do things once.
Also it is worth $2.00 more to go to a Napa where they have some intelligence.

ive had mostly luck with dura-last parts. I worked at a shop for about 3 years and I used countless dura-last parts and the only failure I had was with a brake bolt kit, one of the caliper bolts broke off during the test drive.

yeah 97/98 has a cast lower elbow. be careful when removing it, you need to pull straight out towards the fender, while giving it a side to side wiggle. do not twist it to much, left and right, as you can break the timing cover. this lower elbow leaked on my car, o ring failed. 98 regal.

clean the holes up real nice and clean steal the O ring off the fat side of the unused elbow and put it on the cast elbow on the alt bracket. lube with oil, slide it in, same for the top elbow.

oh and before you unbolt the alt bracket, break the upper elbow, its gonna break anyway, makes only having to deal with the lower elbow a bit easier.

read this thread http://www.grandprixforums.net/how-c...ows-49779.html has some good pics and good directions.

and to test the water pump real fast, open the hood engine off, grab the w/p pulley with 2 hands, and push one side pull the other, if it moves at all its shot.
