    Can you put a 1998 GTP pcm into a 1997 GTP?
    If possible is there any for seen problems with this type of swap?

    97's have a oddball pcm and harness, no you cannot without swapping harnesses as well.

    00 body connector is different than 97 had same issue instead of just 16 or something wires in the 97 the00 has like 40

    There's nothing oddball about the pcm. It is a different pcm than the 98+. Short answer is no..while the connectors will physically fit on the other pcm, the wiring pinouts are different and things simply won't work.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
