It's pretty straight forward if you look at it. You'll have to pull the sideskirt back to get at one of the bolts.
Can you tell me how many bolts it is total and where to start I have never attempted to take a fender off. Do I have to take off any other parts to remove the fender? Does the front bumper have to be taken off. I really appreciate your help b/c I can't find anything online with instructions
When you say one of the side skirts do you mean the one behind the front wheel and in front of the door at the bottom? Thx
no sure if you have to take bumper off or not
Ok thx but if anyone can tell me more info please help
i do believe you have to take off the side of the bumper on teh driver side, not whole bumper, just that side to do it, my uncle a mechanic and thats what he did when he replaced my fender, i need to know how to remove aswell, and if you need any special toosl to do it
I did mine on my 98 gtp. Remove all the bolts on the top where the hood meets the fender. Remove the one behind the side skirt. Then just start removing bolts that are attached to the fender. That was my method. No special tools required, just a 10mm socket if I remember right. There is one kinda odd bolt that holds the fender to the bumper, it slides in almost. You can't hurt anything so just give it a try.
Thanks Jared so you didn't have to take off the bumper right? If not it sounds pretty easy
Jared I got the bolts out up top that hold the fender and hood braket no problem then I took the side skirt off but there a rail that the side skirt slides in that it attached to the fender, How do I get the rail off it looks like its attached to the fender ? Then I need to get the lower bolts that were behind the side skirt. Please help
It's been about a year since I've done it. No you do not have to take the bumper off. Basically you need to be able to move the side skirt enough to get to the bolt behind it if I remember right. Maybe take your splash guards off on the wheel well, that could make it easier. If you're still stuck post some pictures of where you are getting hung up at.
