Hahahahahaha. Oh, you were serious? Let me laugh harder. Bahwahahahahahaahaha!
AEM dry flow. I have a 9 inch one and love it. Don't get ANY oiled filters. People will say they man be fine, but just stay on the safe side so it doesn't mess up the MAF.
also make your own intake
Before I landed my GTP from my old man his mechanic stuck a K&N in the factory airbox and it messed up the MAF after big money to fix it all He went back to cheapy filters until I got it. Now I run a Dry Spectre and it works great. Best 17.99 you could spend and you can buy the stuff to custom it yourself for dirt cheap too. Visit autozone and do it up.
oiled filtres dont mess up your maf, the silicone from the electrical compartment tends to **** up the **** more than the air filter oil does.
I have a really large Amsoil filter someone can have for cheaps.
Don't need it anymore.

Ummm well mind you i wasn't allowed to tamper with dad's car back in the day but when all that whole issue went into play it set him back a nice amount of change. Needless to say he never goes to that mechanic anymore (ripped him off to much). But when it was all said and done he was looking at like a nice price tag or repairing all that nonsense. So maybe not big money i worded it wrong but 200.00 plus he spent which probably could have gone toward something else lol.
I use a k&n.... I just spray light oil on the incoming air side.. I also clean it more often too. Had a maf fail awhile back by using too much oil!
When i had my GP we had a K&N Air filter in our stock air box for years and never caused a problem, we also cleaned it a few times and i each time we did the car felt better. We then made our own intake, thanks to the info from this forum, and we used a Spectre cone filter for it and that worked fine too. I would suggest the K&N and Spectre, if you have the moeny go with the K&N they are more trustworthy and if your on a budget go with the Spectre. Both do the same thing the only difference is the name. Just remember to clean it every 10-20k miles it and your car will appreciate it, Go to auto zone and for 12$ you can get this air filter recharge kit that comes with two liquid cleaner you can use to clean the filters very very nicely.
Good luck and hope this helps.
Drunkie seems enamored with R2C filters.
But the other dry flows are all surely cheaper (you asked for best).

And if you really want you could add a pre-filter:
AEM 1-4001 Dry Flow Air Filter Wrap : Amazon.com : Automotive
The guy is new and came here to find out info, that is one of the reason for this thread. Not to be laughed at cause he does not know some things, you mean SOB
To the OP, Spectre or K&N best ones out there but like these guys said spectre is cheaper and does the same exact thing as the K&N and dont worry about it causing damage because it wont.
