Hello is there anyone that can tell me where to locate the temperature sensors on my GP? I know there is one just underneath where the thermostat is but is there another one that tells the fan when to come on when the car gets to a certain temperature? And where should the temperature gauge be at with the ac running when the fan is suppose to come on? I know up until about 7 months ago the gauge never went above the have way mark but now it is going up to within 3 marks before the red zone when I am sitting in traffic with the ac running. I also have a code that is still there even after changing the temperature sensor under the thermostat that says car temperature is to cold for operating temperature. Has anyone else had these problems? And if some one can help I would appreciate it.
    Thanks

The sensor on the neck has two outputs; one for the PCM and one for the cluster.
It's a CUMMINS Dodge not a Dodge Cummins

Its summer and your in traffic with the AC on, yeah temps are going to rise very very fast when not moving.

If you've never done a coolant flush with a fresh thermostat it might help keep it a tad cooler, but not much.

And if your getting a thermostat code, change the thermo and coolant anyway, see if it helps.

I find it rises faster with the AC off, considering that turnign on the AC automatically activates the fan that wouldnt start until 217*.

In traffic with AC on the highest mine gets is 210* without AC its been as high as 223 as the fan catches up.

At highway speed with AC, it runs about 193-197. Without AC its 186-192.
