the shops around here wont warranty the labor,( even if they bought it) i really hope it works that way in vegas, but in the real world, its used, the fact that you get any warranty on the used engine is one thing, never the labor if it fails. the shops tell you that up front.

that would be correct, if they built it thats whole new ball of wax. then they are eating the labor.

but we are talking about a used engine installed by a shop. no way your ever getting a warranty on the labor. just the engine, and that not even from the shop, its still from the junk yard.

I was not informed that they were used or rebuilt i was just told that they could either be rebuilt or used so i didn't know.

I can not put into works how mad i am, i bought my 98 gtp 3 months ago, drove it home and began to hear rod knock. took it in and got it verified and replaced after 1 month and a half of a mechanic being a lazy piece of ****. The 2nd engine i got was from LKQ and was rebuilt, had the car back for 3 days before the knock came back. Now after another month a new rebuilt engine was put in and six days later faint knock it being heard, WHAT THE ****! this last engine i have ****ing babied it, never went above 3k rpms in 1st gear ussually in the 1500-2000 rpm acceleration. Why is this car making me shove money into it, nothing is going right for me why can't i just have one thing to enjoy. what could possible keep killing this thing, btw only 130k on the car

Brung it in for rod knock after all was said and done the engine had to be replaced so we ordered and had a rebuilt engine installed.

Now after about 75 miles breaking it in a light rod knock sound is heard.

    Any ideas?

Although i want to mention when i filled up my tank it was almost empty but as i pumped like 2 dollars of gas in it shut off the pump and i had to keep re pressing the pump trigger like 8 different times to fill up 3/4 full tank so possible gas pressure issue?

-91 octane not low 87 or anything like that
As far as I can tell either you don't know what they installed and lied about it to us.

Or you are merely here to waste our time.

The thread about the 5.7 hemi suggests the latter.
