Well sounds like coolant is leaking somewhere (explains the white smoke) and you might have a vac leak

What exactly did you "rebuild" on this motor? And yes, the white smoke is likely a failed LIM gasket. Need to get that fixed before you spin a bearing or it will be time for a used longblock.

The boost gauge not reading is a vac leak more than likely. Check all your vac lines and be sure none are leaking. And check the "T" fitting under the S/C snout as they like to crack.

Ok for give my ignorance here but would a leaking LIM also cause a 0 boost reading... Since the boost is measured by the Manifold pressure.....I could be WAY off here.

If the boost gauge never moves it means its not working, if the car starts and runs there is vacuum. Likely its not plugged in or not connected to the vacuum line.

When you replaced the bearings and pistons did you have the block align bored and reassembled by the machine shop?

Don't be afraid to give us more details... cause right now I'm looking at you with a google camera about a billion miles away. You are a very small speck.

Incorrect just based on being Hippo.

Incorrect, RTV in the corners only seals the crankcase vacuum and keeps oil from seeping out the edge of the LIM from lifter valley splash.

When you did the motor, did you bother to look? Run the car and see if it disappears. I've seen this take over 45 minutes to clear up.

Not to a newb it may not. Oil smoke isn't all that blue.

Good question about the rebuild.. I'm not buying the LIM gasket though. It's not common to get enough coolant seeping past the gasket into the intake runner to smoke. Right on for the T under the snout/line to the sensor.

Not usually, a leaking lim would cause a coolant/oil seepage. A vacuum leak is possible..but it's sooo uncommon. You'd have a serious issue running the motor.
