Start with new Stock replacement spark plugs (AC Delco) and some new wires.

ANd fix the o2 sensor problem.

Do a tune up. Plugs, wires, fuel filter and change the oil unless you have record of it being done within it's proper maintenence period from the old owner. (The oil change won't help the miss but it's just a good idea)

ok thanks! I have already changed the plugs ( champion) should have bought delco. and new wires. it is still missing. no change. when the engine is at running temp, it will surge at idle. it will go down to nearly a stall and then back up to a slight high idle. but no code for that. i have checked the coil pack and all coils are fireing. all wires are on the right plugs also.what all can cause a random miss fire.

get some delco plugs and make sure the gap is .060.

the surging could be a sensor issue.
