When did cleaning mating surfaces become a task? It's pretty straight forward with a razor blade. But it looks good bro

Looks fine man, in my younger days I've really gouged the crap out of some mating surfaces with a razor blade trying to clean off gaskets, you'll be fine.

This technique will serve you right when removing gasket material from aluminum heads or intakes where the surface condition is crucial.

Looks really good to me. Heck..I don't even do that good of a job.

I use a 3M roloc (yellow) light touch. Would do the same thing in 45 seconds on a dremel.

The important thing is a nice smooth surface, even if you use a dremel, or some light sand paper, or a razor, as long as its not gouged and its clean and smooth so the gasket can seal where it needs to.

I pulled my TB off last weekend to clean the MAF Sensor and clean up some of the carbon stickiness. Yours is 10x cleaner than mine was when I put it back on and I have no leaks. If you get the good Felpro gaskets, most of the time they are good enough they allow some wiggle room.

If you go ape**** you could ruin something, the yellow roloc and a light touch = the win on shine

I use a small (1") air powered wire wheel on almost everything. You would have to be a fool to gouge even alum. with wire but it takes off anything on the surface almost immediately. Only thing it hasnt worked on for me was transmission separator plates with bonded gaskets.
