Your engine was seriously dirty then. I usually buy the gallon and dilute about 50/50.

I pretty sure mine is just as dirty as yours D. I said I have used SG in the past, but I don not have any as of now. Here at work we have some industrial type cleaner so i may just use some of this. I don't remembner what it is called though.

Just be careful. Even purple can eat aluminum if left on too long.

I usually apply.. give it a moment, rinse. Reapply and rinse again.

I won't leave it on too long. I just want the engine bay to look good so i can keep an eye on that oil spot.

Go for it. Unless it says kills paint and aluminum in seconds..lol

I find when cleaning those intake depressions...you can expect to take a shower. So.. wear goggles and expect to be soaked.

It's summer.. man up and clean it. I made Danielle get under her car to clean it. Poor girl probably had grease and gunk in her hair etc.

finally cleaned under the hood and found out where th oil is coming from. i believe it is the LIM bolts. Should I just torque them down or change the LIM?

I would change the LIM. If it's leaking, it isn't sealed. If oil is passing through it, it won't seal.

Make sure to use RTV on the new one, especially in any problem areas you notice. Also, check bolts and bolt holes to make sure nothing is stripped. A little bit of blue threadloc probably wouldn't hurt anything either.

Except..no oil passes through the LIM

Oil/coolant on top of the lim, means the sealant on the bolt threads (bolts go into the heads (oil seeps and coolant areas are under pressure) is shot and needs to be redone.
