i'm sure I am not the only person who is not comfortable cleaning under the hood so a vid might work. For noobs like us.

when I get time I will. All of this week we have vacation bible school in the evenings so my week is booked up. Maybe on Saturday unless another buyer wants to come look at it.

I am at work. I work in a small black room with no access to Simple Green or a hose.

As a potential buyer I sure like to see a clean engine bay...especially on a 3800!

I always play nice. When we are all playing. You said you most likely don't have time until the weekend. I'd prefer not to misdiagnose this on you and have you buy a ton of extra parts that aren't needed. My experience says that once you clean it.. most of the time you are all set and won't need to do anything else. It's not that I wasn't being nice.. I was being short because I was running from post to post after four days away from the forum, while also multitasking at work.

    Sometimes tough love is better.

no worries. this weekend will be the best time for me to do it. i will be doing this and working more on our storage building that was supposed to be built in the spring and be in the ground by now. I will be buying purple power somewhere. where carries it, or is it one of those costco things?

They unfortunately don't have it. Parts stores, Target, Walmart.. almost anywhere. I thought you said you had some simple green? If so..just use that.

Walmart has it. I suggest a gallon cuz the quart spray bottle won't cut it.
