Hey everybody. In the future, I plan on possibly putting the 'Halo/Angel Eye' Projector headlights on my car. Something like: SPYDER® PRO-YD-PGP04-CCFL-BK - Pontiac Grand Prix 2004-2008 Black CCFL Halo Projector Headlights

I'm thinking of throwing something like that on my car, and then possibly tinting the lenses a bit. Except I've heard mixed reviews about these types of headlights..some about them misfitting, not working, etc. and others about them working 100%. I was just looking for some input from anybody with experience with these, how well they worked, fitted, ease of installation, 'infamous' problems, etc.

Thanks for making working on my car that much easier guys!

Well I cannot speak for that particular brand and such, I had halo projectors at one time and (there are two different types of bulbs, you can look them up a bit more) I hated them. When I wired mine up they shorted out my hvac control unit. So I went back stock.

Do you remember what brand they were? What'd you pay for them?

theyre all made in china and are all crap. sealing issues, lack of solid quality control are just a few of the common issues. best way to get most light output is clearly to do a retrofit. might be a more expensive solution, but the pro's are everywhere. drunkie made a pretty good writeup, and he just redid his headlights to include angel eyes. i say look into it first.

Just read up on it. Looks a little more advanced than my skill level, but maybe I'll get ballsy and try it one of these days. Either that or just get a pre-made pair somewhere. Drunkie's already got his last set sold.

i have the same lights in my 08 grand prix, yeah the light output isnt to great but i love the looks of the leds and halos. i wires mine throught the headlights so there were no issues. Had them for almost a year now and everything works great yet, thinking about HIDs in them but i have herd they dont fit, have you looked into that at all?
