ist post ever....I have an 04 GP/GT that has recently been running hot going up hills, losing power and when it downshifts, it actually loses power and rpms, plus gets hotter. i naturally thought it was the catylitic converter, but dont know. Any ideas would be more than helpful. Can a person replace the converter? Thanks

Converter is a good place to start. Bang on it and see if there is stuff rattling around.
It's a CUMMINS Dodge not a Dodge Cummins

for the running hot part, have you checked your coolant level? the low coolant light doesnt go on untill there is almost nothing left. also when the engine is very hot it is normal to have a bit less power
