More problems arise, what is the cause of my trans having to heat up in the cold in order for it to switch gears. It'll top out at the rpm if I try to go 35 Mph

The part itself isn't expensive but does require for the trans to be torn apart to get to it. Sorry about your luck but either way you're gonna have to be diving into the trans.

Replace with junkyard trans or did you have it rebuilt in the past?

    What got done?

Hell...what's actually happening. No gear engagement or it won't shift properly?
