I have a 2004 Grand Prix and the AC clutch is not energizing. I have checked the AC pressure on the low side and it was at around 150. High. I checked all fuses and relays and replaced them. Still nothing. I cannot find a pressure sensor on the low side. I did find one on the high side and unplugged it. Unplugging it should tell me that I do not have high pressure because the compressor didn't kick in. Any suggestions?

150 is way to high. It might be overcharged. Has it worked since you owned the car?

I am not sure. Is this pressure accurate even though the compressor is not running?

I'm pretty sure it should never be that high even with the system equalized.

Check with a real set of gauges and not the crappy ones that come with the cans of r134a. My gauges showed that one girls car i worked on was great around 75ish and on the gauge on the can it was pegged 90+

Thanks for your help dsmut. I took the car to a friend of mine that does AC work and used to work at a auto dealer as a mechanic. Found out that the problem was that the nut that holds the outer clutch plate on was missing and so was the outer clutch plate. Picked up a new clutch plate and it works great now.
