I see that alot of people are reccomending that you remove the engine cover. Does it just look better without it? Im curious as to whether or not I should take it off of my 1998 GTP. Thanks!

Show that blower off!!!
I'm sorry but I think it looks like crap without the cover. They put the cover on to cover up the ugly. Had GM engineers actually put some thought into it, then it might look ok without the cover.
The cover is just to pretty up the engine bay. All it does is hold in heat and add weight.
I've seen plenty of good looking bays in the 90's cars that don't have stainless lines or covers.
Here's one I found with a 5 second google. Thats a pretty extreme example because of the wire tuck, but it doesn't even have to be tucked to look better than a Grand Prix engine bay.

Sorry.
I hated my cover too, and I didn't do a wire tuck.
I think it looked pretty damn good.
Pacesetters?
Added weight? When it comes to 3300+ lbs on a car can u really count something that weighs 1lb? Lol if that. Sure get rid for weigh reduction to give u ur .001 faster 1/4 mile time![]()
Under hood aerodynamics, That's a new one, please tell me more.
Not only was it designed for appearance, but it also quiets engine noise. The temperature difference between using the cover and not using the cover isn't going to be enough to cause any effect, positive or negative.
