If it's having some kind of trans issue now... might as well budget the money for a trans into the price. They are the weakest link in our cars. Total that up and see if it is still worth it to you.

yeah i'm north in the waukegan/Lake county area.

but yeah i HATE transmissions. i wont touch em. so if theres issues now then pass on it. unless he'll give it to you for dirt cheap so when you spend the 1500+ to get it fixed it'll equal up to what you wanted to spend. regardless if the reverse works only when cold or not. its screwed and you dont fix it you get the whole thing rebuilt.
