So today at 3 o'clock somebody backed up into my car, damaged the front bumper and the passenger front quarter panel. I called their insurance company and started a claim. They also damaged my halo projectors. I still have the ebay receipt from when I purchased them and I also printed out a estimate with a replacement price. What do you think I should do and how should I handle this? Any advice would be great :-\

Their insurance will pay for it.. Your car was parked, you're not at any fault.

How much is your deductible. Insurance will pay minus deductible if you have comprehensive coverage. How much will it cost to fix? If deductible is $500 and damage us $500 don't bother.

The other persons insurance will pay for it. I just was wondering if they will give me the money to replace my halo projectors? I got the receipt and printed out a copy of what a new set of projectors (same exact projectors) will cost me.

Lol. But on a serious note, they should cover the headlights even though they aren't OEM?

Brand new OEM headlights I found were $85 a piece (so a pair would be around $170+ shipping), what I'm also going to do is get a quote from a dealership because you can bet your ass the dealerships are gonna charge a lot more so I can get a little extra money that way lol. The projectors only come in pairs. I still have my receipt and they should give me the money to replace them cuz it's going to be roughly the same price as stock headlights.

Are you saying they are expensive? Or that my price I found was wrong? I'm confused lol.

GM OEM headlights are going to exceed the price of your ebay fail projectors.

They are good headlights there the ones everyone else is using for after market headlights. I don't got the skill to customize my own so if you don't like em keep your trap shut!

The price for brand new genuine GM headlights for one will be more than a pair of your ebay lights

Since I'm going to have to buy new headlights for my car. Can you guys help me find better halo projectors on ebay? Or recommend me what you guys are using for aftermarket headlights, and post the link to the auction?

What everyone is saying, is give the insurance company the PRICE for new GM headlights.. Not to buy them.

Then, you get alot more money and buy the same ones you have now or a different set.

    Get me?

hmm looks mostly like paint transfer.

might be worth to do a claim say you want gm headlights. get the insurance check and pay someone 50$ to wet sand and buff and reclear your projectors and to buff your bumper. i bet alot of that comes off with some compound
