Mine is 9" right now, but it's shot and i'm gonna remove the tubing to it and just put it on the throttle body, but a 9" filter wont fit right. So, i was thinking about just getting like a 4 inch filter and slapping it on there. Would there be any difference? I feel like 9 inches is unnecessary for a filter.

If your modded to the extreme I think the difference would still be miniscule. Stock just do it. People tend to run the 4" in the FWI because it fits better and doesn't require cutting so much, but if your just running off the TB most go for the 9"

I don't think it'd make a difference, just looks better

    Remove dog bones.

    Let engine rock forward.

    Bolt filter to TB.

Push engine back and bolt dog bones back on.

There, 9" filter on the TB...how's that?

    The bigger the better....

Most everyones GTP can flow about 400cfm of air without issue... It takes a big filter to be rated at 600cfm... and that is assuming a fairly large restriction.

Technically if you can run a giant filter, you will be really close your engine thinking you dont have a filter on there.. but it will take alot of filter to do so.

With our 600+cfm turbo stuff, we could see 30-40-50whp just from taking our fairly huge filters off and going to no filter.

    woot oversized filters.

    Depends on the vacuum.

Because vacuum affects flow so much, it makes head flow numbers seem quite hilarious.
