    Ok - this is embarrassing to write but, my 97 GTP has a "prop rod" ... does anybody know the part # to the retainer clip???

    A dealer should be able to get you a part number. It might be easier and cheaper to pull one from a junkyard.

    swap out the struts from a 98+ and never have to worry about it again
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood
    01 gt z7 turbo tep trans zzp motor
    08 g8 gt cam exhaust 11.87@118

    No i don't but you could probably pull the parts from a junk yard really cheap.

    and some 97s did come with gas struts. GM just ran out of parts same with why some have the mast antenna. the 97 GT has gas struts and the rear window antenna
    But why make it an SE?

    Not only was one of the lucky ones to get a prop rod, I also got a regular antenna (not a window one). How about that?!?!!? HA


    Junk yard is probably out of the question. I don't know if there is even one any where near me..

    try this site. it is a yard look up just put in the part and it will show the closest one and for how much

    car-part.com
    But why make it an SE?

    Wow I musta got lucky, my 97 has the gas-lifts and the rear window antenna.
